Keyboard Accessibility

Viewers can control the player using their keyboard. The player only responds to keyboard keys when the player is selected. The player is selected when the mouse hovers over it or when the user’s last click was on the player.


To disable keyboard controls, go to playout settings, select the playout, and click on the Behaviour tab. Check the box for ‘Disable keyboard controls’.

The following keys can be used to control the player.

Key Action
spacebar Toggle play / pause
arrow right Forward 10 seconds
arrow left Rewind 10 seconds
arrow up Increase volume with 20%
arrow down Decrease volume with 20%
esc Exit fullscreen (if in fullscreen)
Specifically for interactive videos
Select interactive elements in the video
enter Engage with the selected interactive element
