1.0 | Overview
To view a specific publication in the Enterprise Portal, simply select the name of the publication on the left side of the screen.
The top left displays a list of users for the publication, showing the most recently added users first. Publication information displays on overview of publication settings, like the logo that’s shown when logging into your publication, the number of users, the label of the account, and more. Replacing a logo can be done on this page by pressing the upload & save new logo button. VMS Statistics displays the number of clips uploaded on a monthly basis (Media Created) as well as the total number of clips on disk (Media Stored) shown.
2.0 | Users
The Users tab gives an overview of all users with access to the publication and update their emails, usernames, names, and roles.
2.1 | Add user
Selecting the Add User button at the top right displays a screen like this:
Fill in the data for the user, like email, first name, and last name. The username is automatically generated, but you can override it with a username of your choice. Select gender and select roles for this user. If you leave the password and confirm password fields blank, the user will receive an email prompting them to create their own password. Alternatively, you can select the password for the new user.
2.2 | Authorise users
Pressing the Authorize user button at the top right opens a new window, shown below.
To find the users you’re looking for, search by either publication or by email address. To add one or more users, check the box or boxes of the users to be added. Once the correct users are selected, click Authorize selected user(s).
2.3 | Adjust roles and permissions
Clicking anywhere in the Roles column reveals role checkboxes for a given user. Checking or unchecking a box instantly adds or removes that role to this user for the publication.
3.0 | Encoding
The Encoding tab displays an overview of all the encoding profiles in use at this moment for this publication. An encoding profile is used to convert a video to different format, so with multiple formats they can be played on multiple devices.
4.0 | Players
The Players tab displays an overview of all the players that can be selected for a playout.
5.0 | Configuration
The Configuration tab displays a list of fields that are used to edit root only options in the Online Video Platform. Most users will not have the need to edit this tab, and we strongly advise to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure that you use this page correctly.
