Enterprise Publication Management

To view a specific publication in the Enterprise Portal, select the publication from the left side of the screen.

Enterprises Portal Publications

The top-left panel shows a list of users for the publication, showing the most recently added users first. Publication information displays an overview of publication settings, such as the logo shown when logging into your publication, the number of users, the account label, and more. You can replace the logo on this page by pressing the Upload & save new logo button. VMS Statistics displays the number of clips uploaded on a monthly basis (Media Created) as well as the total number of clips on disk (Media Stored).

2.0 | Users

The Users tab gives an overview of all users with access to the publication. From here you can update their email addresses, usernames, names, and roles.

2.1 | Add user

Selecting the Add User button at the top right displays a screen like this:

Enterprise Portal Publication Users 2

Fill in the user’s details, such as email address, first name, and last name. The username is automatically generated, but you can override it with a username of your choice. Optionally, select a gender and assign roles to this user. If you leave the password and confirm password fields blank, the user will receive an email prompting them to create their own password. Alternatively, you can set the password for the new user yourself.

2.2 | Authorise users

Pressing the Authorize user button at the top right opens a new window, shown below.

Enterprise Portal Publication Users 3

To find the users you are looking for, search by either publication or email address. To add one or more users, check the box next to each user you want to add. Once the correct users are selected, click Authorize selected user(s).

Note:

If a user does not have any roles assigned, they cannot be added to a publication.

2.3 | Adjust roles and permissions

Clicking anywhere in the Roles column reveals role checkboxes for a given user. Checking or unchecking a box instantly adds or removes that role for the user on this publication.

Enterprise Portal Publication Users 4

Note:

When the last role has been removed, a user who belongs to another publication will disappear from this list. The user can be re-added using the Authorize user button. To hide the checkboxes, press the Done button.

3.0 | Transcoding

The Transcoding tab displays an overview of all transcoding profiles currently in use for this publication. Each profile converts video to a specific format to support playback across multiple devices.
