Content Protection

The first phase of Content Protection is now available. With Content Protection you can define rules to determine who can watch your content and who cannot. The first phase includes the following functionalities:

• Craft custom policies: Choose from Country, Domain, IP  and Secret key restrictions to build the perfect policy.
• Set up secret keys: Create secrets that trigger access based on unique requirements you define.
• Protect individual videos: Apply Content Protection to specific videos and reflect their protected status wherever they appear.
• Get clear rejection messages: Allow viewers to understand why they can’t access protected content with informative rejection messages.

In the coming period we will release even more functionality to Content Protection, so stay tuned for future updates.

Accessibility

We’ve added new accessibility options to our player that make it easier to provide impaired viewers with the tools they need to understand the contents of your video content. These options include:

• Interactive transcripts: A textual transcript of your video that can be used by viewers with audiovisual impairments to understand the contents of your video. They can use this as an alternative to the audiotrack and navigate to relevant sections of the video easily.
• Audio descriptions: An alternative audio track that provides visually impaired viewers with additional information on the contents of your video.

You can upload both of these assets in the Languages tab of your media clip. Once added, the buttons to enable the transcript or audio description will automatically be enabled within the control bar of our video player.

Alternatively, you can add the full transcript below the video player by enabling this in the Miscellaneous tab of your Playout. Once enabled, the transcript will automatically be shown if it’s added to your content.

Shorts Monetization 

Added a new ad unit type and support for inserting advertisements in the Shorts player.

Prebid Analytics Dashboard

Added a new dashboard that reports on key statistics of Prebid performance, like revenue, for all auctions in a publication.
