We’re pleased to release the 8.56 version of the Blue Billywig Online Video Platform.

Modules

Modules are here! This new feature allows you to configure what features of the OVP you want to enable/disable. Certain Modules like our third party integrations with analytics platforms can be freely configured. Other Modules can be requested through the interface. Try it out by navigating to the new screen via the menu sidebar.

  • Interactivity can now be added to a video that does not yet have it through the hover bar on the Media library table.
  • ARIA attributes can now be linked to Data feeds in the interactive studio.
  • The WordPress plugin has been improved with smaller fixes and improvements including support for Widgets.
  • Keyboard shortcuts can now be viewed via the context menu inside the player.
  • Aligned all tables on the different pages in the OVP to display the latest design standards.
  • Fixed an issue where VMAP advertisement indicators would show after advertisement completion.
  • Fixed an issue with displaying thumbnails in a vertical player.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Mail all” button did not list any recipients in the mailer.
  • Fixed an issue where Custom Field stats in the statistics screen did not add up to 100%.
  • Fixed an issue where main content started playing shortly before the VMAP advertisement.
  • Fixed an issue where date fields could not be cleared after being filled,
  • Fixed error toasts showing directly before logging in to the platform.
  • Fixed randomized playlists that always started with the same clip.
  • Fixed an issue where the code field of a line item caused the save button to disable when updating.
  • Fixed an issue where VPAID creatives that stall could permanently block the ad refresh loop
  • Fixed an issue with TAM line item Macros resolving to empty strings.
  • Fixed an issue with playback of video on Safari in specific edge cases.
  • Made a wide range of smaller fixes and improvements to the Player skin, Channels and the OVP including security, quality of life and error handling.

SDK

  • Fixed an issue where VMAP instream ads played invisibly on Android.
