We’re pleased to release the 8.37 version of the Blue Billywig Online Video Platform.
- Tweaked Content Protection to better support in-app cases on mobile.
- Added average view time as a tile to global statistics.
- Analytics now support multivalue lists for custom field stats.
- Optimised RSS feeds to be better optimised for caching and cache busting of Vodcasts/Podcasts.
- Added the query string param “useCanonicallImageURLs” to allow switching between thumbnail URL inclusion in RSS feeds.
- Improved ad schedule Prebid loading for prerolls.
- Improved the accessibility of the player in several areas.
- Added support for using the Transcript below the player in combination with iframes, through our iframe bridge.
- Implemented some small redesigns in the Channels editor.
- Fixed an issue where png thumbnails would be renamed to jpg.
- Fixed an issue with empty impressions showing in ad schedules reports.
- Fixed an issue with the channel share URL.
- Fixed an issue with the search input area background color and placement.
- Fixed some smaller issues with the Channel editor in the OVP.
- Fixed an issue with the placement of Channels elements on iOS.
- Fixed an issue with the animated thumbnail sometime briefly showing in Channels.
SDK
- Updated and improved the display of start, pause and endscreens on both iOS and Android.
- Related items with deviating aspect ratios now show better on both iOS and Android.
- Duration customisation options (background color and play icon) for Shorts shelves are now supported on both iOS and Android.
- Outline colors for unwatched clips in Shorts shelves are now also supported in iOS and Android.
- Improved the handling of the advertisement icon when no ad is loaded before a video on Android.
