We’re pleased to release the 8.33 version of the Blue Billywig Online Video Platform.
- Improved the flow of adding child playlists in Channels with the new Playlist Collections feature.
- Improved the way we store the language of a media clip.
- Improved the way we (pre)load the player in Channels to prevent the wrong thumbnails from briefly showing.
- Improved the visualisation of the “Disable keyboard shortcuts” option in the Player’s context menu.
- Added the option to filter on aspect ratio in the creation of Playlists.
- Chapters and Highlights are now also shown when watching within a Channel context.
- Improved Content Protection to handle iFrame embed cases better.
- Playlist stats are now displayed in the tile menu of Smart and Static playlists.
- Fixed an issue with isEmpty filter causing no Playlist results being returned.
- Fixed an issue with Channels video playback when an ad blocker is used.
- Fixed an issue with the player’s context menu in Channels.

SDK
- Fixed a crash occurring for Shorts in combination with Compose.
- We now overscan thumbnails in Shorts on Android and iOS to fully fill the frame.
- Added support for multiple new Shorts options including: thumbnails in fullscreen and title and duration display on iOS and Android.
- The button to exit fullscreen has now been aligned with web for both iOS and Android.
- We now round the corners when content is watched on iOS.
- You can now swipe to skip, skippable ads on iOS.
