Transcoding profiles

We now allow you to create your own custom transcoding profiles directly from within the OVP. With these custom profiles, you’re in complete control of the assets that will be generated for the files that you upload to the OVP. For each upload, you can select the appropriate transcoding profile.

SCORM package exporting

We’ve added the option to download a project as a SCORM package from the embed tab in the OVP. This allows you to download a zip file that can be imported in any e-learning tool that supports the SCORM standard.

Ad schedule improvements

As an improvement to our Ad schedule feature, we now also allow you to set an interval based on percentages instead of only in seconds. Next to this, we introduce a mechanism that prevents ad-breaks from being scheduled too close to one another. This means that if you have configured a mid-roll to be shown too close to a post-roll, we will skip the mid-roll in favour of the post-roll.

We also introduce the option to set a minimum content length for each ad break type. This means that, if set, no ad breaks will be shown for content that is shorter than the configured minimum length.

Featured header component for Channels

Lastly, we are very excited to release our new Featured header component for Channels. This new component allows you to create a “Netflix-like” experience for your channel with  a full-screen header component that can be used to highlight one or multiple content items. For this header component you can set multiple slides that each contain one or more of the following elements:

• Header image
• Logo
• Title
• Description

You can easily reorder the slides so that the right content is shown first.
