A Playlist Collection is a playlist type containing other playlists. This allows you to create a series, showcase content by theme, or guide viewers through different seasons or topics.
1.0 | Create a Playlist Collection
To create a Playlist Collection, click the “+ Create playlist” button, fill in a title and select “Playlist collection” as the playlist type.
2.0 | Add metadata
After creating the Playlist Collection, you can fill in a description as well as any Custom Fields that are configured to appear for playlists.
3.0 | Select playlists included in your collection
In the “Content” tab, all playlists in your publication are listed. Hovering over an item lets you add it directly to the collection. You can also select multiple playlists using their checkboxes and add them all in bulk.
Drag and drop to determine the order of playlists within your selected content. This order determines how items are shown when the Playlist Collection is used in features like Channels.
4.0 | Create thumbnail sets
Thumbnail sets allow you to select the default thumbnail for different aspect ratios. We recommend creating at least the following two thumbnail sets:
- One matching the size of the videos included in the Playlist Collection (Landscape being most common).
- Hero: used throughout the OVP wherever a hero image is displayed.

5.0 | Content configuration
For advanced configurations, use the “Content configuration” tab. Here you can enable RSS feeds and configure their settings.
