Creating an interactive ad


Improve your brand association and increase your ROI’s by turning a linear pre-roll or outstream ad into a more effective and engaging interactive video ad. First, navigate to the VAST Service section in Ad Services, and read on.

1.0 | Upload creative

There are several ways to upload a creative:

  1. Drag and drop a video file into the area beneath “Local Upload”.
  2. Click “Select Files” and select the desired video file.
  3. Import a video using a URL.

2.0 | Manage your creatives

Here you can edit metadata, set up an endscreen for your campaign, access the Interactive Ads Studio and its reporting.

2.1 | Edit metadata and endscreen

To edit your creative’s metadata, either double click it or click the Edit button here:

On the detail page, you can add a title, description, click through URL, third party trackers and set up an endscreen. 

Tip:

Make sure to have the option of Clickable end-screen enabled if you want the selected endscreen visible on the end of the ad.

2.2 | Add or edit interactivity

One way to add or edit interactivity for a creative is to select the Add Interactivity button, which takes you to the Interactive Ads Studio.  If you’ve already added interactivity, the button will say Edit Interactivity. 

Note:

Please contact your account manager if you don’t have access to the Interactive Ads Studio.

To access an existing interactive creative, you can also click the Interactive Studio button in the VAST Service menu.

2.3 | Interactive reporting

To see detailed reporting on your creative and all the widgets within it, click Show Engagement. 

3.0 | Generate a VAST/VPAID tag

Click on the Tags button to generate a VAST or VPAID tag.

You can either preview the clip in the current window or you can click through to our VAST Inspector which allows you to test your VAST/VPAID tag in a live environment.
