Release 8.20 03/03/2025
We’re pleased to release the 8.20 version of the Blue Billywig Online Video Platform.
Improved sharing options
With this release, we will introduce some much needed improvements to the sharing option within our player. With these improvements, it’s now possible for viewers to:
- Share a link that includes a starting timestamp which can be added manually or automatically by selecting the desired Chapter or Highlight.
- Share a link to a specific clip within a Channel.
- Share a link to a specific clip within a Shorts playlist.
Additionally, we buffed up the share panel a little bit, and added support for the popular social platforms BlueSky and Threads.
- Changed the order of the items in the player settings panel to reflect the same order used in the control bar.
- Reinstated the user creation without password flow.
- Improved the accessibility of the video thumbnail in the player.
- Fixed an issue with Channel scrolling
- Fixed an issue with the Channel search icon
- Fixed an issue with Channel navigation on Safari
- Fixed an issue with the player sometimes disappearing from the sidebar in the OVP
- Fixed an issue with the download options within the player
- Fixed an issue with the iOS endscreen showing a pause button.
- Fixed an issue with the control bar disappearing on the iOS endscreen.
