We’re pleased to release the 8.32 version of the Blue Billywig Online Video Platform.

Content Protection thumbnail styling

New options for the styling of your Content Protected thumbnails just went live. There are a bunch of options to choose from:

  • Choose label placement to configure whether your icon and/or text should display centered or bottom right.
  • Choose the background color behind your icon.
  • Choose the icon you want to use or choose no icon at all.

All your settings will be reflected within Channels, Related items and when embedding a protected item on your website.

  • Custom field list items are now dragable in the OVP to sort them.
  • Made multiple smaller improvements to Playlist Collections including: default thumbnail sets and smaller fixes/tweaks.
  • Improved the way we show Playlist Collections within Channels.
  • Fixed an issue with reporting the wrong audio track when switching to another audio track.
  • Fixed an issue with social exports when a media clip has no specified title.
  • Fixed an issue while clicking the “add custom field” button when filtering on an empty Custom Field Group not creating a new custom field.
  • Fixed an issue with alias bidders.
  • Fixed an issue with postroll advertisements.
  • Fixed an issue with selecting ad units.
  • Fixed an issue with title in Scorm package.
  • Fixed an issue with overlapping elements in Channels.
  • Fixed some issues with roles and permissions in SSO use cases.

SDK

  • We are rolling out multiple tech upgrades on Android for the playback of video.
  • We now support Ktor version 3+ (3.0.3).
  • Fixed an issue with conflicting background colors causing a color flicker on Android.
  • We updated the initiator logging with more loggings on Android.
  • Fixed an issue with embedding a Shorts experience with interactive video in its playlist on both Android and iOS.
  • You can now add start and end gaps to the Shorts shelf on Android and iOS.
  • Added logging for SwipeNext and SwipePrevious to both Android and iOS.
  • You can now update the items included in your Shorts experience by providing clipIDs.
  • We updated the Fast Forward and Backward behavior in iOS.
